If you find yourself in this situation, there are a few things you should do first:
- Make sure the link you are using is completely accurate. If even one character is off, the link will not work. You can check your link under the "Your Link, QR Code, and Campaign Link Generator" tab on the "Your HELLA AWESOME Affiliate Account" tab.
- Check the "Visits Through Your Links" to see if your link(s) is generating visits to cultandking.com. Every visit is shown there by date and time, even your own visits.
- Download your QR code also available on that tab, and print it out for your clients to scan on their smartphones while they are visiting you.
- Ask your clients to include your wholesale account name in order notes when they place an order. This is the space where people type in special delivery instructions like "leave the box by my back door." Many also write in messages like, "I heard about your products from Jane at Blue Salon in Wichita." Whenever we receive a note like this on an order, we will issue a manual referral and lifetime customer retroactively within a few days.
If you have done these things and still feel you are missing some referrals, here are a few things to consider and actions to take:
- Send your affiliate link and QR code home with each client. If your client scans your QR code on their phone at the salon, then goes home and places an order on their laptop computer, the connection to your account won't work. Their multiple devices are not communicating with each other in that way. This issue can be overcome by buying a set of 500 referral cards on our website for $30 that your customers can take home: https://cultandking.com/product/hella-awesome-referral-cards/. Alternatively, you can make your own, including both your link and your QR code.
- The system of linking customers to your affiliate account is based on the unique email address of each shopper. If a lifetime customer places an order using a different email address, the system will not recognize them as being linked to your affiliate account. The average person has so many different email addresses that they regularly use, making this a tough one to overcome. We regularly receive communications from our wholesale accounts using different email addresses, and sometimes it takes us a bit to figure out who you are.
- Make a list of the first and last names of all customers you believe have ordered on our website that are not appearing on your referral list. If the customers are in other states/cities than your business, please note that. (There are many people with the same name buying CULT+KING all over the country, and we will match people in your area first.) Email the list to orders@cultandking.com. We will research our database of customer orders to try to find these customers and issue referral commissions and create lifetime customers if we see any matches. This may take us a few days, but we will always do it because we want this program to work for you. If we find the customers, but they are linked to a different wholesale account, we will not issue commissions to you or re-link them to your account. We must hear directly from the customer in order to make a change like that.
